Highlights of the Latest Release
Search:
- Searches can now span the contents of both an external site and a LabKey Server.
- Administrators can optionally exclude folders from search.
- Searches cover additional content, including folder paths, labels and list metadata.
File management:
- The file upload process provides enhanced feedback, including a progress bar and optional email notifications.
- The file upload tool can be further customized, including settings for requesting metadata during file upload.
- More types of information are available for uploaded files, including audit history and file types.
Extensibility:
- Server-side JavaScript APIs can transform and/or validate data on a per-field basis upon insert/update/delete.
- Button bars can be customized through XML or the JavaScript client API.
- Folder types can be defined in XML files.
- Customize view option are now available for module-defined query views.
- Rlabkey now allows users to save the results of R analyzes back to the server as assay results.
Usability:
- Many menus are more accessible, including scrolling "Views" menus and admin menus that stay on screen.
- Web parts can now be reordered and deleted without a page refresh from the server
